1. Practice Gratitude Daily
• How It Helps: Gratitude helps shift focus from what's lacking to what’s fulfilling in life, fostering a more positive mindset and reducing stress.
• Routine: Each morning or evening, write down three things you’re grateful for, from small pleasures to significant events. Reflect on how these moments contribute to your overall well-being.
• My Story: In my prayers, I give thanks. The rest is pre-determined, and I just must apply myself and can only ask the Creator to unveil those blessings earlier than planned if He finds me ready and fit for it!

2. Set Personal and Achievable Goals
• How It Helps: Goal setting provides purpose, direction, and a sense of accomplishment as you progress.
• Routine: start with small, manageable goals, whether it's a fitness target, a personal project, or learning a new skill. Break each goal down into steps and celebrate small achievements to build momentum.
• My Story: I still have two more to go, will tell you at a different time, hopefully by June of 2025.

3. Cultivate a Morning Routine That Centres You
• How It Helps: A consistent morning routine helps set a positive tone for the day, grounding you in self-care and preparation.
• Routine: Try to include activities like journaling, meditation, light exercise, or reading a motivational quote. Even 10-15 minutes can make a difference in boosting mood and self-confidence.
• My Story: 5 Minutes of quietness before I get out of bed to count my blessings and give thanks. Silence in the car as I drive to work, trying to “centre” myself before I listen to my favourite radio station.

4. Engage in Regular Exercise
• How It Helps: Physical activity releases endorphins, reduces stress, and boosts confidence. Consistent exercise can also improve physical health and overall energy.
• Routine: Find an activity you enjoy—whether it's walking, yoga, dancing, or strength training. Aim for 3-5 sessions a week and use exercise as a chance to connect with your body in a positive way.
• My Story: I am generally active. In recent years I have added EMS to my routine, try it!

5. Practice Mindfulness and Meditation
• How It Helps: Mindfulness helps calm the mind, increase awareness, and reduce anxiety by keeping you focused on the present rather than on past regrets or future worries.
• Routine: Try to meditate for 5–10 minutes daily. Focus on your breathing, or use a guided meditation app. Over time, mindfulness can enhance clarity, improve resilience, and foster self-acceptance.
• My Story: I have not been consistent, when I was, it was amazing!

6. Surround Yourself with Positive Relationships
• How It Helps: Healthy relationships uplift and support you, while negative ones can drain self-esteem and motivation.
• Routine: Seek out friendships and communities that inspire and energize you. Dedicate time each week to connect with loved ones or people who encourage your growth.
• My Story: I have far less people to care for compared to twenty years ago, less drama, less traffic and more attention to those that matter most and who reciprocate the love.

7. Prioritize Self-Care
• How It Helps: Self-care signals that you value and respect yourself, enhancing confidence and reducing stress.
• Routine: Schedule time each week for activities you love, whether it’s reading, gardening, or enjoying a hobby. Consider it a non-negotiable part of your well-being.
• My Story: I no longer work in my business as I previously did, as they say, I now work on it, and it gives me time for me.

8. Challenge Negative Self-Talk
• How It Helps: Becoming aware of and changing self-critical thoughts can transform self-esteem, helping you develop a more compassionate inner dialogue.
• Routine: Notice when negative self-talk arises. Challenge these thoughts by asking yourself if they are based on facts or assumptions, and replace them with kinder, affirming messages.

9. Invest in Lifelong Learning
• How It Helps: Learning new things promotes growth, keeps the mind sharp, and can give a sense of achievement, especially as we grow older.
• Routine: Take a course, read regularly, or pursue hobbies that challenge you intellectually. Embrace curiosity and let it empower your sense of purpose and capability.
• My Story: I am learning the social media thingy

10. Volunteer or Give Back
• How It Helps: Giving back fosters a sense of purpose and connection to the community, which can enhance self-worth.
• Routine: Find a cause or organization that resonates with you. Whether it’s weekly, monthly, or occasionally, giving back can build a sense of fulfilment and value.
• My Story: the best give back is to my team members by mentoring them and encouraging them to start their own businesses.

11. Practice Self-Compassion
• How It Helps: Being kind to yourself through challenges helps build resilience and self-esteem by showing you deserve understanding and support, just like others do.
• Routine: When you’re hard on yourself, imagine how you’d speak to a friend in the same situation. Practice offering yourself the same kindness, reassurance, and patience.
• My Story: I have had failures in establishing one of my businesses, I have forgiven myself and now picking up the pieces one day at a time.

12. Focus on Personal Hygiene and Grooming
• How It Helps: Personal grooming and hygiene contribute to self-respect and confidence, helping you feel more positive about your appearance.
• Routine: Develop a simple grooming routine that feels nurturing, such as skin care, styling your hair, or even dressing in clothes that make you feel good. It’s not about vanity but about feeling cared for.
• My Story: I spend the whole day following a hair; skin and nail routine once a week and another just doing nothing.

13. Limit Social Media Usage
• How It Helps: Excessive social media can lead to comparison and low self-esteem. Limiting its use can improve mood and foster a healthier sense of self.
• Routine: Set boundaries around social media, such as checking it only at specific times. Unfollow accounts that don’t align with or support your well-being.
• My Story: I am writing this for my blog, I am TikTok shy 😊. I need help!

14. Practice Visualization and Positive Affirmations
• How It Helps: Visualizing your goals and affirming your worth can create a powerful, positive mindset, boosting motivation and confidence.
• Routine: Spend a few minutes each day visualizing a positive outcome for your goals. Repeat affirmations that resonate with you, such as “I am capable,” or “I deserve to feel happy and healthy.”
• My Story: I can do this; it is not going to kill me!

15. Keep a Self-Reflection Journal

• How It Helps: Reflecting on your day, accomplishments, and areas of growth provides insights and reinforces progress and gratitude.
• Routine: Each night, write down your thoughts, things that went well, and what you’re proud of. Journaling can help process emotions, track growth, and build self-awareness.
• My Story: I input these thoughts in an App my son downloaded for me. I just enter the date and work on my list day by day.
